This year we are continuing the exhibition series “in vitro. ART IN THE GLASS PAVILION” in Grugapark Essen with two exhibitions:

EMIL WALDE – CONDITION
Exhibition duration: March 2nd – April 7th, 2024, can be viewed from the outside all day.
Opening: SATURDAY, MARCH 2nd, 2024, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Finissage SUNDAY, APRIL 7, 2024, 4-7 PM.

JULIA WILLMS / ANDREA BOZIC – DE ZANDLOPER
Exhibition duration: July 27th – August 31st, 2024, can be viewed from the outside all day.
Opening: SATURDAY, JULY 27th, 2024, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Finissage SATURDAY, AUGUST 31, 2024, 4-7 PM.

Location: GLASS PAVILION IN GRUGAPARK ESSEN

The Grugapark entrance ticket office at Grugabad is closed, please use the main Grugapark entrance at the Grugahalle (public transport) or the entrance at the Mustergarten (car).

“in vitro.” is an exhibition series in which artists of international stature directly engage with the fantastic architecture and location of the glass pavilion in Essen’s Grugapark. Two exhibitions are planned annually until September 2025, with the aim of revitalizing the architectural and protected gem of the 1960s and bringing outstanding art with national appeal into a new context: the art comes out of the studio, the gallery or the museum, to the people in Grugapark.
