As part of the exhibition "Gezeichnet, gepixelt, gedruckt", GAM will be showing works by the award-winning artist Martin Baltscheit from 24 July 2010. With his illustrations for the new translation of Rudyard Kipling's "Jungle Books", Baltscheit has succeeded in creating a true masterpiece. The review of ZEIT particularly emphasized the "sensually wild" quality of his pictures, which, as a long overdue replacement of the sweet Disney animated film, put the literary classic in the right light again. The presentation of the original preparatory drawings provides interesting insights into the practice of illustration art.
